Providing Specialist Nursing, EMI & Residential Care for Older People

Each of our homes is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection. Our varied accommodation provides residential and nursing care for older people, including those with mental health problems.

All of our homes are equipped and furnished to a high standard, and our qualified staff supply the highest levels of care.

We recognise each resident's individual needs and aim to maximise their quality of life in a pleasant and peaceful environment.

The Ephraims Care Group Commitment to Patient Care

The strategy of The Ephraims Care Group is to continuously improve our patients' quality of care and to maintain our high standards through clinical and organisational leadership. The culture within the group puts the patient at the centre of care.

We ensure good practice by applying the following:

  • The provision of superior services throughout all care homes in the Group, including:

  1. High standard of accommodation,

  2. In-house catering,

  3. Supervised leisure activities,

  4. Communications such as direct access to e-mail and Internet services following comprehensive risk assessment,

  5. A four-monthly newsletter informing patients' families of all important activities in their respective homes.

  • Regular audits of clinical care and management systems by independent managers, with reports being made available to the Healthcare Commission for Social Care and Inspection and individual board meetings at unit level.

  • The maintenance of a high staff-to-patient ratio, to allow individual patient care.

  • A comprehensive daily therapy and activities program, with input by an appointed member of staff.

  • Regular monitoring of all policies and procedures following professional guidelines and in the light of proven good practice.

  • Regular supervisions / appraisals of all employees to ensure continued development.

  • The provision of a generous training budget to continually improve the quality of care to our patients through an ongoing programme of learning and development for all staff.

  • The encouragement of patient involvement in the day-to-day running of each home.

  • A Regional Manager appointed to help and support all employees within the Group. Her principal objective is to maintain our high standards of professionalism and care.

  • Finally, The Ephraims Care Group meets all legislative requirements. As an organisation we both respond to and evaluate new legislation, and we ensure that we continue to provide the very best care in each of our homes.
